    Excella STX has a jam


    Make sure that you are not scanning a thermal receipt

    1. Thermal receipt paper is too thin and slippery for the STX


    To clear the jam:

    1. Remove the outer cover from the STX
    2. Fold down the scan heads
      1. To do this, lift the tab on each scan head
      2. The scan head will only open a small amount
    3. Remove the jam if it is visible, remove it
    4. Use compressed air to clean out the scan path
    5. Fold the scan heads up and replace the outer cover
