    Error: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to the SQL Server


    This means the software cannot talk to the server with the CDP Database installed on it.

    -First check the database connection string by opening CDPCentral:

    -Setup>tools>*password*>SQL Server Alias = %server name or server IP%\%SQL instance%

    -SQL instance is most likely going to be \CDP but may be \SQLEXPRESS

    -If that is correct and can test connection successfully , do this next

    -Go into the server that CDP has its database installed

    -Check to make sure the SQL Browser service is running


    -If this does not fix the issue, call CDP Technical Support at 800-869-0493 option 1
